The government needs to maintain clarity in the space sector’s regulatory framework.
Space was formerly thought of as the ultimate frontier, but as it has been explored more, stories with commercial, socioeconomic, and geopolitical ramifications have replaced the idealistic idea. For many years, space technology and space travel were costly, dangerous endeavors best left to national authorities. This is no longer the case since the private sector is being expected more and more to discover market possibilities and innovate quickly in order to complement, augment, and/or lead the way. India began along this route in 2020 when it implemented state-led reforms that allowed private enterprises to operate in the space industry. Later, it released the “Geospatial Guidelines” and the “Indian Space Policy,” which established the Indian National Space Promotion.
